‘Nutty & Golden’

Connage Highland Dairy, Ardersier

Award Winning Scottish Cheddar
handcrafted by the shores of the Moray Firth. The Dunlop recipe dates from the 17th Century and was first made in Ayrshire. Each truckle is dressed in muslin to seal and keep the maturing cheese moist. Dunlop is a Cheddar style cheese with slightly higher moisture and develops a lovely depth of flavour as it matures for 7 months. It has a rounded nutty, warm and creamy taste that lingers on the palate.

Montagnolo Affine is a blue, triple crème soft cheese made in the Allgäu region of Germany. It is surface ripened, marbled with blue veins and has a grey natural crust. Ageing at a low temperature allows the cheese to mature slowly and develop an aromatic and spicy flavour to its vein and yet retain a soft and creamy body. Montagnolo combines the rich texture and taste of brie, with the biting nature of a classic blue. an excellent cheese to try for those who may not yet be the biggest fan of blue cheese.

Produced by Cambus O’May Ltd. in Ballater, Royal Deeside, using traditional methods resulting in a soft and smooth cloth-wrapped cheese that instantly melts in the mouth. Creamy in texture, strong and rustic in flavour, this is one of the finest cheeses from Scotland.

Our West Coast Delicatessen subscription cheese boxes feature a handpicked selection of some of our favourite seasonal cheeses. Each one carefully selected and hand-cut by our Cheesemonger and designed to make a delicious and varied cheeseboard. Beautifully presented, they make the perfect gift.

The selection will change each month and we guarantee a minimum of 800 grams of cheese with accompaniments and tasting notes in each box..

We ship the boxes out during the third week of each month. Please let us know if you plan to be away and we will ensure the cheese box is sent on an alternative date.

We pride ourselves on the freshness of our products and all cheese boxes are made to order. Occasionally, in unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary for us to substitute an item, in this situation, the item will be of equal or greater value to that which it replaces.
